Catching Air at the Discovery Museum

Where is air? Everywhere!
Come visit the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum to learn about the movement and power of air!

On December 10, 2016, the District and the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum hosted an opening event for the exhibit, Catching Air at Science Saturday.

The District-sponsored “Catching Air” exhibit takes a hands-on approach to teach kids (and adults!) about air. Pictured above is one part of the exhibit. Various objects like scarves and balls can be placed in the clear, pneumatic tubes. Kids can observe the different ways in which the various objects behave in air as they move through tubes and as they fall to the floor.

Check out the photos below of the exhibit!
