Air Resources Board (ARB) Truck and Bus Regulation

The Truck and Bus regulation reporting system and the Online Reporting Guide has been updated to include 2015 compliance requirements and options. Here is the updated 2015 Truck and Bus Online Reporting Guide.

The Air Resources Board (ARB) Truck and Bus Regulation requires diesel trucks and buses that operate in California to be upgraded to reduce emissions. By January 1, 2023, nearly all trucks and buses will need to have 2010 model year engines or equivalent. Compliance requirements are currently in effect. The regulation also requires individuals, private companies, and Federal agencies that own diesel vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) greater than 14,000 lbs that operate in California to report to Truck Regulation Upload, Compliance, and Reporting System (TRUCRS).

For more information about this regulation please contact an ARB representiative at 866-6DIESEL (866-634-3735) or visit ARB’s TRUCKSTOP website. ARB regularly updates its TRUCKSTOP with advisories, regulatory changes, and free training courses that truck and bus owners and operaters may find useful.
