Cat Canyon Resources, 6085 Cat Canyon Road, Santa Maria, CA 93454

To consider a Regular Variance from District Rules 342.G.1 and 206, Permit to Operate 7149-R11, Conditions 3.c and 6.a submitted on September 30, 2024, for relief from conducting the biennial source testing on the tank heater, until the facility returns to service. The Petitioner operates the equipment at the Tognazzini Lease located in the Cat Canyon Oil Field in Santa Barbara County.

Pacific Coast Energy Company, LP, 1555 Orcutt Hill Road, Orcutt, CA

On September 13, 2024, Hearing Board member Terence Dressler approved an Emergency Variance for Pacific Coast Energy Company LP, from September 4, 2024 through October 3, 2024, or the date compliance is achieved, whichever occurs first. Said Emergency Variance provides relief from District Rules 325.E.1 and 206, Part 70 Permit to Operate 8296-R12, Condition 10 and allows for continued operation while failing to control produced gas at all times.

Cat Canyon Resources LLC, 6085 Cat Canyon Road, Santa Maria, CA

On September 30, 2024, Hearing Board member Terence Dressler approved an Interim Variance for Cat Canyon Resources, LLC from October 1, 2024 through December 29, 2024, or the date compliance is achieved, whichever occurs first. Said Interim Variance provides relief from District Rules 361.R.2, and 206, PTO 7149-R11, Conditions 3.c and 6.a and provides relief from source testing requirements for the tank heater (APCD Device IC 391794) until source testing can be completed.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District Hearing Board is December 4, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. Meeting is subject to cancellation if there are no items to be heard.
